The shorter (9 page) one, called the Personality Profile, omits almost all astrological terminology and describes an individual in five 1-2 page chapters: how others see you, your self image and personal interests, your intellectual and philosophical influences and interests, love and romance, and your ambitions, goals and achievement potential. On the last page, the profile lists the astrological factors interpreted in each section of the report. This format works surprising well, because by eliminating astrological labeling, it reads more fluently and creates a more comprehensive view of the person. It would be a fine report to give to someone who would be confused or irritated by jargon. The longer Riley report (19 pages), called the Birth Chart Interpretation, uses the same text as the personality profile, but also includes an introduction to astrology, more general information on each point, additional details and quotes about specific chart factors, signs on the house cusps delineations, and astrological labeling of each section. It is better suited to those wanting to understand the meaning of each astrological factor. Both Riley reports occasionally overstate things, especially in interpreting hard aspects, using words like "extremely difficult" and "dangerous". More often, however, the delineations are insightful and accurate, making these reports worthwhile. Here is an example of Moon opposite Venus: "This aspect brings the two most emotional heavenly bodies in opposition to each other. The tendencies are likely to be towards self-indulgence and self-pity. These are the two enemies you must fight. The key is to sublimate the material needs and desires and concentrate on more universal aspirations -- like the good of mankind. You need to beware of sexual excess, as well as overindulgence in sweets and carbohydrates. You could feel unloved and ugly, but don't let that become a self-fulfilling prophesy.
